Mother Belly Ultimate Pregnancy Belly Cast Kit includes:

Bandages:   Mother Belly’s Ultimate Belly Cast Kit provides 7 rolls of 4” by 5 yard medical grade plaster casting bandages. Medical grade plaster casting bandages are chosen by doctors and hospitals across the country to cast broken limbs.  If a pregnant woman were to break an arm or leg during pregnancy, plaster casting bandages might be worn for weeks or months at a time.  During a pregnancy belly cast, the fast set bandages we use are on mom’s pregnant tummy for about 30 minutes. The fast set plaster casting bandages are non-toxic and meet ASTM-D4236 safety standards. If you have concerns about belly casting, consult your physician.

Vaseline: The release agent we use in our belly cast kit is Vaseline.  We believe this to be the most universally safe and effective product to use for pregnancy belly casting as it enables the belly cast to be easily removed when set.  Vaseline is used and recommended by doctors and hospitals worldwide and has been used by belly casters for years. In addition, many professional life casting artists use Vaseline as a release agent when doing body casting with plaster gauze bandages.  Vaseline is often used as a skin protector, even on newborns.  Mother Belly's Ultimate Pregnancy Belly Cast Kit includes two tubs of vaseline for a larger casting job or a second belly cast.

Sanding Screen:  Once your beautiful pregnant belly cast has set, you can sand it using our sanding screen.  This is an actual carbide screen so it’s tougher and won’t wear out or tear.  With the Ultimate Belly Cast Kit, we also provide traditional sandpaper for finer sanding.

Drop Cloth: We provide a 9 x 12 foot plastic drop cloth to protect the furniture and floor in your belly casting area.  The drop cloth is disposable, so when you've finished your belly cast, throw it out and your belly cast workspace is clean!
