Bulk alginate molding powder packaged in 1 pound foil packets for freshness (which provides a 2 year shelf life when stored at room temperature).
This molding powder is a color changing chromatic formula which turns pink when combined with water. After mixing, the molding material turns white so you know exactly when the model's hand should be inserted to make a mold.
Each one pound package of molding material contains approximately 6 cups of powder alginate - to create a mold for:
- 5-6 3D baby hands or
- Four 3D baby feet, pet paw prints, or ornaments, or
- 3-4 shadow box child handprints or
- Two child 3D hand molds (to about age 6) or
- One 3D mold of 2 adults or a parent & child holding hands
Please Note: This is molding powder only. To complete a cast, you will also need plaster casting stone. Use the Bulk Plaster Discount option (select above) to add plaster casting stone to accompany the alginate molding material.
