Our Baby Shoe Bronzing Keepsake Kit is Casting Gifts' inexpensive alternative to costly electroplating!
Mold plaster copies of those precious baby shoes, then bronze them with our acrylic metallic bronze paint! The results create your own "bronze art" - bronzed baby shoes for a fraction of the cost!
Use this keepsake kit to create a three dimensional plaster replicas of your infant's baby shoes. Our amazing rubbery molding compound allows you to capture all those little baby shoe details, right down to the stitching. Then, using the metallic bronze acrylic paint provided, paint your plaster castings to create the "look" of actual bronze electroplated shoes. The kit also comes with antiquing paint, rags, and separate instructions for creating an "aged" appearance on your shoe reproductions.
If you prefer the look of porcelain or glazed ceramic baby shoes rather than bronzed shoes, you can choose to add our clear glaze to your kit. Even if you don't give your baby shoes that ceramic "porcelain look", the clear glaze can be used over any metallic paint as added protection to the surface paint. We also offer other metallic finishes such as gold, champagne or pearl, if you prefer a different color. Should you select any additional finish, you will still receive the original bronze paint and antiquing supplies with your kit, so you'll have the option to experiment to see which look you like best.
Finally, mount your finished bronzed baby shoe casts on a beautiful 5x7" oval wood base plate. The oval display base is sold separately for other casting keepsake kits, but is included in the Baby Shoe Bronzing Keepsake Kit (a $9.99 value alone)!
The baby shoe bronzing kit includes everything needed to create, bronze paint, antique and mount plaster castings of two baby shoes (maximum shoe length is 4 3/4 inches or about a shoe size 3). Measure if you are in doubt.

Refill Kit: The refill for the Baby Shoe Bronzing Keepsake Kit provides enough molding powder and casting stone for 1 shoe.
If you don't want to permanently glue your completed baby shoes to the wood display base, consider using our Tacky Wax (select above). This will help tack your bronze statue to the base so that it will stay in place, but not permanently. This waxy material comes in a 1" canister and will help keep your plaster statues from moving or sliding. You'll be able to easily reposition your bronzed baby shoes as desired, then reuse the display base for different baby keepsakes or family keepsakes over the years without ruining the base finish with permanent glue. Tacky Wax can be removed from your base with soap and warm water.
