How many ornaments or 3D hand & foot castings will this kit create?
This casting kit contains enough molding powder and plaster casting stone to mold two ornaments.
Make one ornament and one 3D statue with base, one baby foot and one hand, make two identical Christmas ornamentsand keep one ornament and give the other as a gift to grandmother, or do one of both kids, etc. There are many ways to use this kit! You can even use one to cast a pet paw print (the materials are exactly the same as our Paw Print Christmas Ornament Kit)! Metallic bronze finishing paint comes with your kit. If you'd like a different look for your holiday ornaments, add on clear glaze for a glossy ceramic or porcelain looking finish. Bronze and clear glaze finishes are shown in the top photo at right. Other optional finishes include Metallic Pearl, Gold or Champagne finishes (see comparison footprint photo). By choosing an optional color or glaze, you'll receive it in addition to the metallic bronze paint that comes with the kit, so you can make ornaments in two colors! *The molding container included is approximately 4.5" in diameter, which should adequately fit an average size baby foot from newborn to 6 months, sometimes older. Beyond that, it can be used to create a 3D hand statue or hand ornament for a toddler up to about age 2!
