How Many Handprints, Footprints, or Paw Prints Will This Kit Make?
The 8x10 shadow box kit contains 3 bags of molding powder and enough stone, enough for:
- up to 3 baby handprint or footprint casts (under 5" hand/foot) OR
- up to 2 child handprint or footprint casts (under 7" in length) OR
- up to 3 cat or dog paw print castings
Note: The shadowbox photo shown (at right) with 4 baby handprint and footprint statues requires a single refill kit when used in combination with the casting materials from this kit.
This kit comes with a clear glaze paint for finishing your baby hand prints and foot prints, but optional finish colors can also be selected in metallic gold, champagne, pearl and bronze (see baby footprint comparison photo). We even offer a Metallic Antiquing Kit for use with our bronze, gold and champagne metallics in case you prefer your child or infant hand and foot prints to have an "aged" finish!

The 8 x 10 Treasured Memory Keepsake Shadow Box Kit includes:
- 8 x 10 x 1.25 inch wall mount shadow box (also has an easel back)
- 2 reusable molding containers/trays*

- Ivory mat board with 5 x 7 opening

*The baby footprint molding container has a maximum useable length of about 5 inches to allow enough room around the foot. Though babies are different, this should fit most infants under 12 months. If using the larger tray for older children, we suggest keeping handprint and footprint casts under 7" in length to allow adequate space in the frame. For teen & adult hand casting, we suggest using our 11x14 kit. For animal lovers who want to cast pet paw prints, if your dog is near or over 100 pounds, you may require a larger molding container if the dog's foot (paw and nails) is near 5 inches in length. Using a Cool Whip or deli container should work well in this case.
Visible mounting space inside the 8x10 shadow box is 5x7 when using the mat, or 7x9 without the mat. Maximum useable depth is about 1 inch if used with glass.
Refill Kit: Modify this kit by adding additional powder and stone refills. One refill kit has enough powder & stone for 1 extra baby footprint (to 1 yr.) or one additional child hand print or foot print. A single refill is needed to mold both baby hands and baby feet if used with the 3 packs in the kit.
